Dr Asha Burkett

PRINCIPAL CHIROPRACTOR / PRACTICE OWNER

Asha was born and raised in Exmouth. Her fascination with chiropractic began when she started suffering from migraines in her early teens. Asha has been a practising chiropractor in Exmouth for 15 years and has a further diploma in paediatric chiropractic. She is passionate about pregnancy care and child health and nutrition, particularly gut health and its effects on behaviour and allergies. Outside work, she enjoys surfing, diving, camping, and caring for her two young sons.

Asha is also a qualified Orofacial Myologist. Orofacial myology is the treatment of orofacial (mouth and face) muscles to assist with normal growth and development of the face and mouth. It can assist with speech problems, breastfeeding, sleep and breathing for adults and children. Orofacial myologist also work closely with dentist and ENT's. They can assist in the detection of tongue ties and can help with detecting some underlying reasons for oral habits such as prolonged thumb sucking.
